Giving Glory

Author: Theresa / Labels: ,

I've been thinking about giving glory to God much recently. Not only in church but in every little thing that I do. Sometime we just Glorify God in church where Christians is around or when we're having some good times. Learning to give glory to God is not an easy thing to do, we are human who love being praise includes myself. It is really a challenge since the day we enter to this world, in everything that we do. Especially when you're on stage, we sometimes takes all the glory and not giving it to the Creator. All the talents, the opportunities, the "waw! you're good in this", the 'A's that you have... Here's something to share.

-1 Corinthian 10:31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

-1 Corinthian 10:33
For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.

We are actually revealing the glory of God to the world through our words, lifestyle and behavior, at the same time we are giving praises to God.

How To Bring Glory To God

1. Summit to God's Will in all thing and willing to suffer for Him.

(John 21: 18-19)
18 I tell you the truth, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go." 19Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, "Follow me!"

2.We are to be content with what God has given us and not worry, knowing God will take care of us.

(Philippians 4:11,19)
11I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

19And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

3. We can rely on God for strength instead of relying on ourselves.

(Philippians 4:13)
13I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

4. Helping others and praising God with our mouth, be humble.

(Philippians 2:3-4)
3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

5. Be fruitful

(Galatians 5:22-23)
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

With Him, we can do it.
(2 Corinthians 3:18)
18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Bring Glory to Him name with your character and your lips.
